Experience local tea culture, tea brewing techniques and the beauty of nature
On April 29, 2023 (Saturday), the Office of International Affairs and the Mandarin Learning Program organized a wonderful “Ｍuzha: One-day Cultural Exploration for Tea Culture”. At 8:00 in the morning, the participants gathered in front of the Shou-Ren Building, ready to embark on this exciting adventure aboard a tour bus.
2023年4月29日（星期六），國際處與華語計畫籌辦了精彩的「木柵茶文化一日遊」。早上8點，參加者們在守仁樓前集合，準備搭乘遊覽車展開這趟精彩的參訪旅程。
The itinerary took us to Muzha, a cultural town located in Taipei City, where participants could immerse themselves in Taiwan’s tea culture. First, we took the Maokong Gondola, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the joy of spring with friends.
本次行程帶領大家前往位於台北市的人文小鎮—木柵，讓參加者們深入體驗台灣的「茶」文化。首先，我們乘坐貓空纜車，欣賞美麗的風景，享受與好友一同走春的喜悅。
Next, we visited the Taipei Tea Promotion Center for Tie Guanyin Tea and Baozhong Tea, where we learned about the famous tea culture of the Muzha area. Students not only learned about different types of tea leaves and tea brewing techniques but also discovered the stories behind the tea culture. Our guide led us on a tour of the promotion center, providing rich knowledge and interactive experiences that deepened our understanding of the charm of Taiwanese tea. As part of the program, we also had a tea culture workshop, allowing students to experience the pleasure of tea-making and tea-tasting firsthand. Students were able to choose their favorite variety of tea leaves and follow the teacher’s guidance in brewing and tasting the tea.
接著，我們前往台北市鐵觀音包種茶研發推廣中心，認識木柵地區有名的茶文化。同學們不僅認識茶葉的種類、泡茶的技巧，也認識茶文化的背後故事。導覽員帶領我們參觀推廣中心，提供豐富的知識和互動體驗，讓我們更深入地認識台灣茶的魅力。其中，我們也安排了茶文化手作課程，讓同學們親身體驗製作及品茶的樂趣。學生們可以自由選擇自己喜愛的茶葉品種，並跟隨老師的指導泡茶與品茶。
Additionally, we arranged a visit to the Muzha Zoo, where students could admire the animals and experience the beauty of nature. During the visit, students also enjoyed a delicious tea snack box, which included representative Taiwanese delicacies such as grass jelly cakes and traditional-style cakes, allowing everyone to savor the unique flavors of the local tea culture. Through enjoying these delicacies, participants could gain a deeper understanding of the local culture.
此外，我們也安排了參觀木柵動物園的行程，同學們在欣賞動物的同時，體驗大自然的美麗。本次參訪中，同學們也享用美味的茶點餐盒。餐盒中包含一些具有代表性的台灣茶點，例如草仔粿、古早味蛋糕，讓大家品嚐到在地獨特的茶文化風味點心。大家在品嚐美食的同時，亦能更深入了解在地文化。
Finally, around 5:00 PM, we returned to the Yangming Campus gate, concluding this memorable day trip. This journey encouraged students to have a deeper experience of the local tea culture, connect with the local community, and embody the goal of becoming international talents with localized knowledge and understanding.
最後，在下午5點左右，我們返回陽明校區校門，結束這場充滿美好回憶的一日遊。這趟旅程鼓勵同學們更深入地體驗在地茶文化，與在地人文連結，體現國際人才的在地化的目標。
